Sebastian Griese

Managing Director

Sebastian was born in Germany. After working as a Sommelier and Restaurant Manager in some of the most prestigous Hotels and Restaurants in Europe he startet working in the wine business for Riepenau Fine & Rare in Germany. He moved to Hong Kong in 2009 to establish Riepenau Fine & Rare Asia. Besides handling our trade customers for several years now, he is also highly involved in sourcing exciting wines for our growing customer base. He likes travelling to wine regions around the world with Champagne being one of his favourites. Tasting a mature bottle of Dom Perignon is always a treat for him. He is fluent in English, Spanish & German. In his free time, Sebastian enjoys travelling to exciting places in Asia as well as exploring the local food and drinks. In Hong Kong he likes the local restaurants & bar scene and enjoys cooking at home and share nice bottle of wine with his friends.

Paul Turner

Operations Manager

Paul was born in the UK. He relocated to Asia in 2007 after working in fashion design he discovered his great interest in wine. He has worked with Riepenau since 2015 as Operations Manager. Paul is currently studying for WSET Level III, having recently passed Level II. He enjoys trying new wines and champagnes and looks forward to expanding his wine knowledge in the future. In his spare time Paul is a keen baker and loves trying out new recipes and ideas for special occasions and friend’s birthdays. He also enjoys long walks with his dog.
